A graduate of the University of Edinburgh, Judy Wagner began her career as a Chartered Accountant and worked with GEC before moving into the recruitment industry in 1987, becoming a director of a large UK-wide recruitment business in 1988.

Judy is a Non-Executive Director of an Aberdeen based energy company and sits on the Development Board of the RSNO, the Strategy Board of Edinburgh University's Management School, ICAS Membership Development Board, The Daisy Chain Trust and Scotland's Garden Trust. She is also Chair of Erskine Stewarts Melville Schools and a Trustee of a charity set up to support disadvantaged children in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Judy has managed many high profile appointments in a wide variety of industries and sectors. She has recruited at main board level in several of the UKs top companies and has managed large multiple appointment recruitment assignments.

 

Scott Black

Scott has a BA (Hons) in Public Policy (Economics, Public Policy & Finance) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance. His entire career has been in the recruitment industry working at board level with public and private companies and public sector organisations throughout the UK.

Prior to co-founding FWB Group he was a Director of a large recruitment group and participated in the management buyout of that business which was supported by 3i plc.
In addition to his role as Recruitment Director Scott also Chairs FWBC. He has held a number of board appointments with charitable organisations and private companies. Scott is currently an Awarding Panel Member for the Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust.

 

Willie Finlayson

 

Willie Finlayson

Director

Willie was educated at Inverness Royal Academy and at the University of Aberdeen where he graduated with an Honours degree in Psychology and afterwards a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources. He went on to pursue a career in management within the NHS, based in London. He returned to Scotland in 1985 to join a major UK recruitment group and became a Director of that group in 1988, he was a key figure in its management buyout the following year. He subsequently established a successful 'stand alone' executive search business for that group before leaving to help found FWB in 1993.

He is also a Non Executive Director of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club, the biggest name (literally, he says) in British Football!

 

Ailsa Sutherland

 

Ailsa Sutherland

A graduate in Languages, Ailsa Sutherland began her career as an editor with a French publisher before moving into the recruitment industry in 1996, becoming a Managing Consultant within the PSD Group's search & selection practice in 2002 based in London. On returning to Scotland, Ailsa worked for Hudson Global Resources for a number of years before joining FWB in 2008.
Ailsa is a voluntary panel member for the children's panel of Edinburgh, a legal hearing system for children who require compulsory measures of care and protection.

 

Katie Bell

 

Katie Colburn

Katie graduated from Napier University with a First Class Honours Degree in Social Sciences. She joined FWB after graduating, initially to focus on Knowledge Management before joining the research team. Katie now splits her time equally between recruitment and research.
