Who We Are
FWB is owned by its founders and directors, Judy Wagner, Scott Black and Willie Finlayson who together have over 60 years' experience in recruitment at a senior level.
The company was established in 1993 with support from a venture capital fund, which subsequently was bought out. Before establishing FWB the founders were directors of a large, UK-wide recruitment consultancy group, formed as a result of a management buy out, supported by 3i plc.
In 2002, FWB Consulting was established. This business, which is managed by Paul Dickens, supports FWB with its services to clients and also works independently with its own clients designing and managing development programmes.
Today, from offices in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and London, FWB and FWBC serves a client base of leading businesses and public sector organisations, with repeat business accounting for a high proportion of the company's assignments.
FWB plays an active part in the Community with a number of employees on the Boards and Committees of charitable organisations, as well as participating in various fundraising events.

In June 2009 Scott Black and Simon Petrie took part in the Martin Currie Rob Roy Challenge to raise money for The Prince's Trust, PSYBT, Place2b and Sightsavers International. This event involved running 16 miles between Drymen and Callander before cycling 39 miles to Kenmore.
Scott Black and Luke Rodwell took on the challenge of the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon in July 2009, to raise money for Mercycorps. This is widely regarded as the toughest one day event in Scotland as it involved a 1 mile swim across Loch Tay, a 16 mile run across 7 munroes, a 7.5 mile kayak and a 34 mile cycle.
In September Scott Black, Gavin Hood of Deloitte, Stuart Cochrane of Park Brown International and Murray Douglas of Amec will be taking part in the Highland 100 cycle race.
